A portion of the US elite, who are heathens by definition, have made their false god the power of the state. These individuals believe they can create the perfect ordered society through force. These elites are primarily split amongst two camps.

One camp believes it can create a better world through the liberal use of force by making other nations in the image of a secular US, the other believes in power for its sake and as a tool to ensure their dominance to make a better world for them at the expense of exploiting others. But, for both groups state power has become their idol.

One of the children killed by Israel in its attack on Qana, Lebanon.

They killed over 100 civilians in 1996 in a similar attack, which they also claimed was an “accident” and they then tried to shift blame onto “militants” despite a wealth of counter evidence that suggests the 1996 was not a “mistake” as claimed.

HANGING TOUGH — Standing up to Israel’s enemies with more drone strikes and cyber attacks, Barack Obama seeks to project a warhawk image ahead of this November’s US presidential election.

MEMORIAL DAY IN THE UNITED STATES is a time for hot dogs, overcooked burgers, too much beer, and a massive dose of militaristic patriotism.

It is also a good time for Americans to begin thinking seriously of who should be elected president this November.

The USS Liberty is seen here with a huge torpedo hole in its side at the water line following the Israeli attack. Only the expert seamanship of the ship’s captain saved the vessel as it limped back to port.

WASHINGTON — Forty-five years ago, the USS Libertywas attacked in international waters by Israeli jet fighters and torpedo boats.

The attack killed 34 members of the crew, and wounded 174 more on board. Both US and Israeli governments conducted inquiries about the incident, and decided the attack was a result of Israeli confusion about who the USS Liberty was.

Many veterans don’t agree.

This Friday, a USS Liberty memorial service will be held at the graves of the Liberty victims at Arlington Cemetery, in part to remember, but also to accuse.

Facebook page for the event asks supporters to sign apetition calling for a renewed investigation of the attack. The petition suggests a US government cover-up, noting that the US initally dispatched aircraft to aid the wounded USS Liberty, but say they were later recalled.

The USS Liberty incident was an attack on a United States Navy technical research shipUSS Liberty, by Israeli Air Force jet fighter aircraft and Israeli Navy torpedo boats, on June 8, 1967, during the Six-Day War.[2] The combined air and sea attack killed 34 crew members (naval officers, seamen, two Marines, and one civilian), wounded 170 crew members, and severely damaged the ship.[3] At the time, the ship was in international waters north of the Sinai Peninsula, about 25.5 nmi (29.3 mi; 47.2 km) northwest from the Egyptian city of Arish.[1][4]

Both the Israeli and U.S. governments conducted inquiries and issued reports that concluded the attack was a mistake due to Israeli confusion about the identity of the USS Liberty,[5] though others have rejected these conclusions and maintain that the attack was deliberate.[6]

In May 1968, the Israeli government paid US$3,323,500 (US$22.2 million in 2012) as full payment to the families of the 34 men killed in the attack. In March 1969, Israel paid a further $3,566,457 in compensation to the men who had been wounded. On 18 December 1980, it agreed to pay $6 million as settlement for the final U.S. bill of $17,132,709 for material damage to the Liberty itself plus 13 years’ interest.[7]
